45 to 10. This score tells the whole story of this game. The Bears were dismantled, humiliated. This is the worst football I've seen come out of Chicago in years.
I was dead wrong in my prediction that Chicago would contain Cedric Benson; he had the best game of his life, literally. Benson ran for 189 yards at over five yards a carry. Carson Palmer threw a touchdown on his first four possessions, he ended with five TDs and a passer rating of 146.7. Cincinnati scored on every drive until the fourth quarter when the scrubs came in; the Bears couldn't muster a single stop on defense. Chicago's defense was, without exaggeration, worthless.
I think Danieal Manning said it best, "They played football, and we didn't."
The offense was almost as bad, but they did score a few points. Forte continued to be a non-factor, although it is admittedly difficult to get the running game going in a game like this. Cutler threw 3 interceptions. The offensive line was putrid. The one bright spot in this entire game was that Hester's continued progress as a wide receiver was quite evident, on the other hand, he lost a fumble.
With Cleveland coming to town, the Bears will have a chance to show that this monstrosity of a game was a fluke. But if Chicago plays like they did today, the Browns should have no problem getting their second win of the season.
